gratitudeGratitude is a powerful tool to bring attention to our own life and find the goodies in ordinary days. We can creatively develop a sense of appreciating whatever small positive things and events happen in daily life.

Once we start working the gratitude list every day we spend a few minutes to think and feel the appreciation of everything in the list. We don’t search for big things, we rather give value to little happenings that have good impact on our days. Ask the question, “What would be different in your life without the items from the gratitude lists?” to acknowledge the values that you take for granted.

We can use the gratitude list to boost self-esteem.  Write 10 positive items about yourself and good things you do. Do it every day and focus on good feelings.  You can add as many items as you wish and do it until you feel good.

We can use the gratitude list to improve relationships. You can do it with your partner – ask him / her to create the gratitude list for you, and you do it for him / her. Talk about your gratitude lists & observe the feelings. You can play a game, save the gratitude lists over the weeks and review them over time. Try to feel good about yourself and your partner.

Copy of logo-thestrongestyouPlay with the gratitude list and make it fun. Read the gratitude list aloud, sing it or read it with laughter. Think about every item on the list. Be committed to this game for a while. Be aware of values you put on the list.

When the things seem difficult to cope with; when everything and everyone seem to be against you; when life just seems hard, read this book and remember this simple phrase:
